Some songs come from a riff, a beat, a hook. This one came from a place deeper than that.
“Avoidant” was born out of raw personal experience — but it’s not just one person’s story. It’s the story of anyone who’s ever wrestled with connection and fear at the same time. Of people who desperately want closeness, but don’t know how to hold it when it’s finally there. Of love quietly sabotaged by unresolved pain.

The Song Isn’t About Blame — It’s About Truth
We didn’t write Avoidant to point fingers. We wrote it to face our own patterns — the hard ones. The ones that break good things without meaning to. The ones that come from trauma, and shape how we love. We know what it’s like to start with good intentions and end up alone, unsure how it happened. We know how easy it is to discard something precious when you’re scared of being seen. This song is our attempt to name that cycle. To break it. To move forward — honestly.

If You’ve Ever Felt That Way… If you’ve ever:
– Pulled away from someone you cared about
– Felt unworthy of love
– Been overwhelmed by closeness
– Or felt pushed away by someone who couldn’t explain why they shut down
Then Avoidant is for you, too. You’re not broken. You’re not alone. But it’s time to face your truth.
This isn’t a call-out. It’s not a revenge anthem. It’s not about shame. It’s a moment of clarity. A mirror — for ourselves, and maybe for others. We believe in art that says something real. That hurts a little, because growth does. That heals, eventually — because truth can.

Avoidant Lyrics:
Begin with good intentions, sure it will work this time
But you don’t understand, trauma hiding deep inside
Can’t speak your wants your needs, don’t know to verbalize
You get too close for comfort, your fears unjustified
The bonds you built they break, as you push your feelings down
You know you’re playing victim, you control what happens now
Avoid the feelings, fearing everything you crave
Choose to burn that bridge, refuse to confront your pain
Connection that you crave
Fears you can’t escape
Discard and walk away
You’re alone
Connection that you crave
Fears you can’t escape
Discard and walk away
Regret letting go
Connection that you crave
Fears you can’t escape
Discard and walk away
You’re alone
You’re alone
You’re alone
You’re alone
Connection that you crave
Fears you can’t escape
Discard and walk away
Face your truth
